For 15 years, Smerwick On Site (SOS), IT department of Smerwick Ltd. Taiwan Branch, has been a key partner for an increasing number of companies that are looking for state of the art, seamless IT maintenance and support.

Meet Our Team

Smerwick On Site engineers begun working in Taipei in foreign administrations and multinational groups, supporting their local offices while reporting to their IT departments back in their regional head quarters.

Our team is currently composed of 4 IT enthusiasts who grew up in a world of PCs, servers, Microsoft and Linux mixed IT systems. We speak English, Mandarin and French. Communication is made easy thanks to the pluricultural / multilingual profil of Smerwick On Site team.

Jean-Pascal Rignault

Account Manager

Jean-Pascal has been living in Taipei for the past 16 years. Graduated from Paris Dauphine University, Jean-Pascal first landed in Taiwan in 1998, working as IT manager for the French Economic Department. Jean-Pascal joined Smerwick in January 2000, and has since developed Smerwick On Site. Jean-Pascal has been the CCIFT General Secretary for 3 years, and is now the CCIFT President.

Allen Weng

Engineer

Allen Weng financed his studies by working at the famous GuangHua computer market, in the heart of Taipei. PC hardware has no secret for him! Allen only has to lay an eye on your machine to know its internals. Allen joined SOS in June 2008.

Webber Lin

Engineer

Webber joined Smerwick On Site team in 2013. Working for DHL, Agfa and Anz Bank allowed Webber to acquire a strong IT corporate oriented experience. Webber is totally bilingual: Windows and Linux fluent!

Alexis

Marketing

Alexis joined Smerwick On Site in 2014. He’s been mainly in charge of communication – updating our web site and social media tools, as well as supervising our newsletter.

Solid Foundations

SOS benefits from the support of the Smerwick group (well established trading group in Asia since 1982), being able to use its resources (accounting and finance) to run its daily operation.
